Thondekayi Palya
In today’s blog, I am going to share one of my most obsessed and favorite side dish recipes for Thondekayi palya. I am the kind of a person who doesn’t like to have any side dish along with rice and rasam or sambar. When I once visited my friend’s home for dinner, she had prepared yummy Ivy guard fry as a side dish. She insisted I try this fry and I tried it. Guess what I just fell in love with it.
Ever since I tried this recipe, I’ve just been obsessed with this recipe and it is very easy to make, and it can be done within five minutes with not much effort. So since I share the recipes that I love with you all, here we go with the recipe for Thondekayi Palya.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons of oil
1/4 tbsp of mustard seeds
1/4 tbsp of cumin seeds
One pinch of king
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
5 to 6 curry leaves, and sauté
250 g of Ivy guard
1 tbsp of salt as per taste
1 tablespoon of red chilli powder
1/4 tablespoon of coriander powder
1/4 tablespoon of mango powder
Mix everything well
Lastly, add 2 tablespoons of grated coconut
Mix everything well

In a pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil and heat it
Add 1/4 tbsp of mustard seeds and 1/4 tbsp of cumin seeds. Let them splatter.
Add one pinch of king
Add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
Mix everything well
Next, add 5 to 6 curry leaves, and sauté
Now add 250 g of ivy guard, cut into slices
Mix everything well
Cook until Ivy guard becomes soft
Add 1 tbsp of salt as per taste and Mix everything well
Close the lid and cook it for five minutes on low flame
Open the lid and sauté once
Now add 1 tablespoon of red chilli powder and 1/4 tablespoon of coriander powder
1/4 tablespoon of mango powder
Mix everything well
Lastly, add 2 tablespoons of grated coconut
Mix everything well
Now you are tasty, Thondekayi palya is ready
Enjoy it with your roti, and it tastes heavenly and yummy along with rice rum. I just love the combination of this fry along with rice and rasam. Do give this recipe or dry.
