I just love to savor Idli with Coconut chutney and Sambar for my morning breakfast…In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe for Rava Idli…

Recipe for Rava Idli
Equipment
- Idli cooker
Ingredients
- 2 cups Urad dal
- 1 tbsp Fenugreek seeds
- 4 cups Idli Rava
- 1 cup Poha
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
- Take a vessel and add 2 cups of Urad dal
- Wash it twice
- Soak the urad dal by adding some water, till it is completely soaked
- Add 1 tbsp Fenugreek seeds
- Cover and Soak it for 4 hours
- In a jar, take 4 cups of Idli Rava
- Grind it till the Rava becomes coarse
- Wash it once again and drain off the water
- Now, transfer the Soaked Urad dal into the jar
- Add 1 cup Poha
- Add 1 cup water
- Grind it into smooth Paste
- Transfer it to the vessel
- Mix everything well
- Close the lid and rest it for 7 hours or overnight for fermentation.
- The next day or After 7 hours the batter is fermented well. Mix everything once again
- Take the required amount of batter in a vessel
- Add 1 tbsp Salt
- Mix everything well
- Take the Idli plates and Greece the molds with Oil
- Add the Idli batter to the molds according to the size of the molds
- In an Idli maker, adds 1 glass of water and place idli into it.
- Steam them for 15 minutes or until the first whistle.
- Now, the soft and Spongy Rava Idli are ready.
- Take them out from the Moulds and serve.

Step 1
Take a vessel and add 2 cups of Urad dal. Wash it twice
Soak the urad dal by adding some water, till it is completely soaked
Add 1 tbsp Fenugreek seeds
Cover and Soak it for 4 hours
Step 2
In a jar, take 4 cups of Idli Rava
Grind it till the Rava becomes coarse
Wash it once again and drain off the water
Step 3
Now, transfer the Soaked Urad dal into the jar
Add 1 cup Poha
Add 1 cup water
Grind it into smooth Paste
Transfer it to the vessel which has ground rava
Mix everything well
Close the lid and rest it for 7 hours or overnight for fermentation.
The next day or After 7 hours the batter is fermented well. Mix everything once again
Take the required amount of batter in a vessel
Add 1 tbsp Salt
Mix everything well
Step 4
Take the Idli plates and Greece the molds with Oil
Add the Idli batter to the molds according to the size of the molds
In an Idli maker, adds 1 glass of water and place idli into it.
Steam them for 15 minutes or until the first whistle.
Now, the soft and Spongy Rava Idli are ready.
Take them out from the Moulds and serve.
Serve the Rava Idli with Coconut chutney and Sambar.
