So, In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe for Menthe Palya… In this recipe we have added some methi leaves to split green gram curry… Trust me this tastes amazing… The aroma of this curry itself will make you eat this curry…

Menthe Palya
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Water
- 1 cup Split Green Gram
- 2 tbsp Oil
- ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 5-6 crushed Garlic
- 1 chopped onion
- 3-4 chopped Green chilis
- ¼ tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Salt (as per taste)
- 1 cup chopped Methi leaves
- 2 tbsp Water
Instructions
- Take a vessel add 2 cups of water and heat it
- Once the water is hot add 1 cup washed Split Green Gram and let them cook
- Bring it to boil
- Check if the Green grams are cooked
- Now, take a pan and add 2 tbsp Oil
- Add ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
- Add ½ tbsp Cumin Seeds and let them splatter
- Then, add 5-6 crushed Garlic and saute
- Add 1 chopped onion
- Add 3-4 chopped Green chilis and saute
- Next, add ¼ tbsp Turmeric powder
- Add 1 tbsp salt (as per taste) and saute
- Now, add 1 cup chopped Methi leaves
- Saute until the leaves become soft
- Next, add the cooked Green gram
- Mix everything well and saute
- Add 2 tbsp Water
- Close the lid and let them cook for two minutes
- Give a final mix.
- Now, the yummy Menthe Palya is ready to savor.
