Jowar is one of the most loved grains in North Karnataka…people here make a variety of dishes using jowar. Like, Jolada mudde, Jolada rotti, Jolada Ganji, Jowar vada,etc. They can’t live without it…Most people like to savor jowar based in the morning…So, they Invented Jolada vada…LoL! Jolada vada is the most delicious version of vada. Here Jowar is mixed with some other flours and vegetables…The flavor of this jowar vada is crazy…In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe for Jolada vada

Jolada vada
Ingredients
- 1 glass Jowar flour
- 1 glass Wheat flour
- 2 tbsp Besan flour
- ½ glass Rice flour
- 2 tbsp Urad dal flour
- 1 spoon Carom seeds
- ½ tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1 handful of Coriander leaves
- 1 inch Ginger
- 4-5 Green chilies
- 1 small onion
- ½ tbsp salt
Instructions
- In a mixing vessel add 1 glass of Jowar flour
- Add 1 glass of Wheat flour
- Next, add 2 tbsp Besan flour
- Add ½ glass Rice flour
- Then, 2 tbsp Urad dal flour
- Add 1 spoon of Carom seeds
- Now, add ½ tbsp Salt
- ½ tbsp Cumin seeds
- Mix everything well by adding water into a dough
- Close the lid and rest it for 2-4 hours or overnight.
- Next, in a jar add 1 handful of Coriander leaves
- Add 1 inch Ginger
- Add 4-5 Green chilies
- And add 1 small sliced onion
- Then, add ½ tbsp salt
- And add ½ tbsp Cumin seeds and grind them into a smooth paste
- Now, add this paste to the dough
- Mix everything well
- Keep the Oil for heating in a pan
- Apply some water to the palm and take a small size dough and start making a vada by patting it.
- Slowly, add the vada into oil
- Fry it well
- Once fried on one side, flip it and fry on the other side
- If the vada changes the color to a light golden brown then, It is completely fried
- Take it out

Add 1 glass of Wheat flour
Next, add 2 tbsp Besan flour
Add ½ glass of Rice flour
Then, 2 tbsp Urad dal flour
Add 1 spoon of Carom seeds
Now, add ½ tbsp Salt
½ tbsp Cumin seeds
Mix everything well by adding water into a dough
Close the lid and rest it for 2-4 hours or overnight.
The next day, the dough becomes very soft
Next, in a jar add 1 handful of Coriander leaves
Add 1 inch Ginger
Add 4-5 Green chilies
And add 1 small sliced onion
Then, add ½ tbsp salt
And add ½ tbsp Cumin seeds
Grind them into a smooth paste
Now, add this paste to the dough
Mix everything well
Keep the Oil for heating in a pan
Apply some water to the palm and take a small size dough and start making a vada by patting it.
Slowly, add the vada into the oil
Fry it well
Once fried on one side, flip it and fry on the other side
If the vada changes the color to a light golden brown then, It is completely fried. Take it out.
Now, the tasty and crispy Jolada vada is ready.
