Pulses are the main source of protein for vegetarians… It is very important to consume pulses on a regular basis… I make sure to include some pulses at least 4-5 times per week… In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe for green gram sambar… It is a protein-rich and highly nutritious food…

Green Gram Sambar
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tbsp Cumin seeds
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 chopped Tomato
- 1-2 tbsp Red chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- 1 bowl of cooked Green grams
- 1 handful of chopped coriander leaves
Instructions
- Heat a pan and add 2 tbsp oil
- Add ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
- Add ½ tbsp Cumin seeds
- And, add 4-5 curry leaves and let them splatter
- Next, add 1 cup chopped onion and saute
- Add 1 chopped Tomato and saute well
- Now, add 1-2 tbsp Red chili Powder, according to the taste
- Add 1 tbsp Salt and mix well
- Add 1 tbsp Garam masala and mix it well
- Now add 1 bowl of cooked Green grams to it and mix well
- Let it cook for some minutes
- Add hot water and adjust consistency
- Bring it to boil and cook
- Add 1 handful of chopped coriander leaves
- Now yummy Green gram sambar is ready to savor.
