Chapparakayi chutney

In today’s blog,  I am going to share the recipe for Chapparakayi chutney. It’s a chutney or dipping prepared using raw Tomato. Indian cushion has given prominent importance to chutneys. Chutneys go well with almost every dish. They are easy to make as well as life savor in many situations. Chapparakayi chutney is one of my favorite among them. The sweet and sour taste of this chutney is heavenly yum! In my family, everyone loves it so much. If you are looking for an easy yet tasty Chutney, then you should give it a try. Now, without any delay let’s jump into the recipe

Ingredients 

2 tbsp Oil
2 small Onion cut into slices  
5-6 Chopped Green Chili 
8-10 curry leaves  
8-10 Garlic cloves 
200 grams of Raw Tomato slices
1/2 tbsp Salt (as per taste)
2 tbsp Jaggery 
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 tbsp Mustard seeds 
5-6 Curry leaves 

Instructions with Images 

In a pan add 2 tbsp Oil

Add 2 small Onion cut into slices and saute till onion changes its color

Add 5-6 Chopped Green Chili and saute

Now, add 8-10 curry leaves and Saute

Add 8-10 Garlic cloves and Saute

Next, add 200 grams of Raw Tomato slices and Saute everything well

Cook until Tomatoes become soft and well-cooked

Turn off the gas and let it Cool
Transfer everything into a jar

Add 1/2 tbsp Salt (as per taste)

Add 2 tbsp Jaggery

Grind everything into a coarse paste

Now, In a pan add 2 tbsp Oil

Add 1/2 tbsp Mustard seeds

Tomato kayi chutney

Add 5-6 Curry leaves

After that, transfer the tomato puree and saute well

Cook until the oil starts to separate

Now, your yummy Tomato Kayi or Chapparakayi chutney is ready.

You can enjoy it with

Jowar roti
