Mavinakayi Palu

In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe for mavinakayi palu. Mangoes are the beautiful part of Summer. In my blogs, I have shared multiple yummy recipes of mangoes, ie Mango Chutney, Mango Sheekarani, mango Chitranna, and many more. My mother-in-law makes some amazing recipes of raw mangoes. Mavinakayi Palu is one of my favorites. It is a kind of an instant pickle but tastes so yummy and once you taste you control to finish it in a go. I wanted to share this simple recipe with you guys for a long. Since summer is here, why not today? Without any delay let’s jump into the recipe.

Ingredients 

1 raw mango 

1 cup of water 

1/2 tbsp Salt 

2 tbsp Oil

1/4 tbsp Mustard seeds

1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder 

2 tbsp Red Chilli powder 

1/2 tbsp Salt (as per taste)

1/2 tbsp Niger seeds powder 

2 tbsp Jaggery 

Instructions with Images 

Add 1 raw mango cut into dice

Add 1 cup of water

And add 1/2 tbsp Salt

Boil it for 2 minutes

In a pan, add 2 tbsp Oil

Instant mango pickle

Add 1/4 tbsp Mustard seeds

Instant mango pickle

Add 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder 

Instant mango pickle

Then, add 2 tbsp Red Chilli powder

Mix everything well

Instant mango pickle

Now add half boiled Mangoes and Mix everything well 

Instant mango pickle

Add 1/2 tbsp Salt (as per taste) and mix

Add 1/2 tbsp Niger seeds powder  and Mix it well

Next add 2 tbsp Jaggery

Mix everything well

Mavinakayi Palu

Now your tasty palu is ready.
