Maharashtra is very well known for so many amazing places to visit and for its unique food cuisine… Poha/Avalakki is one of the most loved foods of Maharashtra… Poha is prepared in almost every part of the country… In today’s blog, I am going to share the recipe for Avalakki or Poha… It is very easy to make and yummy to savor… I just love this recipe… Do follow the instructions and prepare it…

Avalakki/ Poha
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Oil
- ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tbsp Cumin seeds
- 4-5 curry leaves
- ½ cup Peanuts
- 1 cup chopped Onions
- 3-4 chopped green chilies
- ½ cup fresh Green peas
- 1 tbsp salt
- ½ tbsp Turmeric powder
- ½ cup chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 Bowl Poha/Avalakki
Instructions
- Take a pan and add 2 tbsp Oil
- Add ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
- Add ½ tbsp Cumin seeds
- And add 4-5 curry leaves and let them splatter
- Now, add ½ cup Peanuts and fry them until they chat their color
- Next, add 1 cup chopped Onions and saute
- Add 3-4 chopped green chilies and saute.
- Then, add ½ cup fresh Green peas and mix well.
- Now, add 1 tbsp salt and mix it.
- Add ½ tbsp Turmeric powder and saute.
- Add ½ cup chopped Coriander leaves and saute.
- Next, take 1 bowl Poha/Avalakki
- Wash it thoroughly
- Now, add washed poha into the masala
- Mix everything well
- Now, the yummy Avalakki is ready to savor.
